Tree’s being planted in the Borough of Berlin were able to be purchased from grant money named  “No Net Loss Deforestation Grant” from 2006  sponsored by the State of New Jersey for the Borough of Berlin due to the reforestation of trees from the drainage and intersection improvement project on Route 73 known as the Berlin Circle.  The goal of the No Net Loss law is to prevent the net loss of forest lands in New Jersey due to actions by State entities.
