Berlin Borough, in a partnership and shared service with Camden County, is switching to the Swift911 Emergency Notification System. In
the event of an emergency, this system will enable Berlin Public Safety officials to quickly and efficiently alert and inform our residents.

Residents of Berlin can now receive important, official information directly from the Borough of Berlin via Nixle. Messages will
be delivered by email, SMS/text message, and over the World Wide Web.
Information can be received online and via e-mail for free. Residents receive messages by phone as part of their text messaging
plan (otherwise standard text message rates apply)

service connects city agencies to citizens in real-time, delivering information to residents of geographically targeted
areas and neighborhoods.
A note about messaging: you may occasionally receive a notification from another area agency. This information should impact
you based on the location you’ve registered in the system. Should it not, you can unsubscribe from messages from that agency
in two ways:
- Log in and click “Settings;” uncheck the “subscribe” box
- Click "Home." When your Personal Wire appears, find the unwanted message and click Options and Unsubscribe next to the
agency’s name.
